Overview
In the first collaborative effort from Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign, they have a produced a very average record.. I think fans expecting a younger version of Kanye to appear at any release at this point is unreasonable, but listening to VULTURES 1, its hard to believe how far away from that version we have come. This is no discredit to some of the songs produced here, as there are definitely some takeaways that most listeners will enjoy - but even here there really isn’t a verse that really stands out from the rest. Ty Dolla $ign has less of a presence on this record than Kanye, but is still important to the album and you can definitely hear his style within the album - this is an album where two artists compliment each other, but struggle to bring the audience in at times. My only real disappointment with this album was that my favourite song was removed because apparently its not cool to sample another artists’ song without permission… who would have thought.
Recommended for old Kanye fans looking to take away just one song from an album.

This is an album cover that is very much in the style Ye - I think it’s a little bit pretentious, but the colour scheme is nice and it does have a bit of style about it. May as well be Kim K and Jason from Friday 13th on the cover..
