Overview
After an 8 year gap from their previous release, AC/DC came back with more energy than they’ve had in years. This is a fantastic modern Rock album that shows the band still has the ability to produce refreshing Rock music even after 30 years in the business (and still keep it interesting). This is the first time hearing a range of production effects throughout one of their records and even hearing Angus Young on slide guitar was a seriously refreshing take. Its an album that would have been a hit at any stage of the Brian Johnson era - it keeps the same trademark gritty intensity, with its stadium-sized Rock anthem sound, yet provides fresh dynamics that would have had even the modern day generations enjoying a somewhat dying genre. AC/DC keep Rock alive here.
Recommended for both old and modern rockers looking for a classic, yet fresh Rock record.

I think it’s a great cover. It’s simple, yet detailed when you look closer, and shows signature aspects of the band. I like the touch of the frosting on the AC/DC logo to incorporate the Black Ice theme of the album, and once again any album cover with Angus Young in his power stance is an automatic win. Although the silliness and playfulness of AC/DC has been part of their charm, after almost 30 years of releases, its nice to see a mature change in direction here.
