Overview
Who knew grunge artists were so good at crafting beautiful acoustic versions of heavy and dark songs. This was a performance that created a very melancholy and relaxing energy that gives listeners a sense of tranquillity throughout. Whilst not even touring their previous hit album Dirt due to drug problems, it was a surprise undertaking for the band to do an Unplugged, but it was a surprise that completely delivered and went down in history and one of the best MTV performances to date. Every song here delivers a refreshing take on what would be an otherwise very heavy set. Worth every watch or listen.
Recommended for Grunge lovers looking for another MTV Unplugged performance to listen to for years to come.

I like the colour scheme here - it’s very 90s and matches that of previous Alice In Chains releases. It may be slightly chaotic in the sense that there is a lot going on, but it works and it makes it clear that this is a live album that displays the melancholic atmosphere of the performance.
