Overview
A Mercury Prize winner - An Awesome Wave received an incredibly interesting response at the time - a weird yet beautiful album, it almost bridged the gap for Pop lovers and Indie kids, this Folktronica record is compiled of complicated and delicately crafted songs that, despite its weirdness, appease to the Popular Music mind. Simply, this is a record where everyone will take at least one song away with them, but they should be taking the whole album.
Recommended for Indie kids looking for a weird and beautiful journey into the river delta of your own mind.

It is kind of perfect if you ask me - the whole meaning behind the name of “Alt-J” is that when pressing it on a Mac keyboard, it produced the Delta symbol (∆), and thus Alt-J decided on using an arial photo of the Ganges river delta. Clever matchmaking in my opinion. The colour scheme is soft and welcoming and I also feel this matches the mood of the album perfectly.
