Overview
Wow, what a record - blending elements of Grunge, Emo, and melodic Hardcore; Basement have managed to create a sound that feels both nostalgic and modern. The album is marked by its raw vulnerability, with heavy guitars and driving rhythms paired with lyrics that explore themes of alienation, loss, and inner turmoil. By striking a balance between heaviness and clarity, this allows moments of vulnerability to show even in the album's most intense moments - this contrast of quiet to loud, whilst done before, is almost perfected on this record. This is an album that resonates deeply with those seeking both emotional depth and sonic intensity, showcasing a band at their most vulnerable yet confident.
Recommended for older Grunge kids looking to feel like an Emo for 30 mins.

I was slightly torn with this album artwork.. at first glance I really didn’t like it and thought there was not much to it with a poor colour palette. The more I looked at it, the more I enjoyed it - It’s somewhat messy and scuffed appearance symbolises an emotion that you can really envision when listening to the record. I still don’t know if the kids are dancing or fighting, but why not both?
