Overview
Camel are known as one of the best in the business for 70s Progressive Rock music and you can definitely see why after a listening of Mirage. The first song sets you up for journey into the musical stratosphere of Bardens’ & Latimer’s Camel ridden mind, and then the next song brings you onto a floating beam of tranquility. This is what the album is all about, taking you through a musical experience of different twists and turns, and this allows an album of 5 songs to feel like it’s double that length. Mirage won’t be for everyone’s cup of tea, but it will certainly leave listeners intrigued by its musical genius.
