Overview
Listening to this album will plunge you into an immersive world of grand melancholy. The Cure have masterfully woven together a record with themes of longing and existential dread; it's an album that maintains their classic sound while feeling both timeless and deeply relevant. The haunting textures throughout are characteristic of the band, and each track carries emotional depth that complements the whole. This is an album that was certainly worth the wait for longtime fans, and you can tell the band have put their heart and soul into this one.
Recommended for deprived Cure fans who have been waiting 13 years for new music.

It certainly suits the vibe of the album and The Cure as a whole, but... I just don’t particularly like it. Robert Smith spotted the sculpture, made in the '70s, while flipping through a book and was immediately drawn to it. I do appreciate the band's personal attachment to the piece, at least.
