Overview
Voodoo is groovy, jazzy, funky, soulful and everything in between. I felt chilled on an entirely different level listening to this record. There is a smooth steadiness that carries throughout this album, and it doesn’t get boring, it seamlessly transitions into the next song like one smooth joy ride. I did think that each song was a lengthy one, but sometimes you’ve just got to enjoy the ride. One to chill in the lounge to.

Recommended for the soulful laid-back type with slow groovy feet.

Album Artwork Rating
5/10 It’s a pretty basic album artwork if we are being honest here. I just don’t feel like it really conveys D’Angelo’s music from the record enough here.
