Overview
Despite the lullaby tones of the first song on ‘The Colour and the Shape’, this album rocks harder than most. This is arguably the Foo's best album, delivering some of the most listenable Modern Rock anthems in their entire catalog. I would go as far as to say that this is Dave Grohl’s finest work with the band, and we’re even treated to his drumming throughout the album (even though he snaked William Goldsmith - but that’s another story). ‘The Colour and the Shape’ offers the perfect combination of sounds, from heavy, moshable anthems to relaxing tunes worthy of helping you forget the world, close your eyes, and lean back. This iconic Alt-Rock record deserves to be heard by all.
Recommended for Alternative Rock fans looking for some of the finest anthems around.

It’s a pretty iconic cover. The inclusion of an atomic-looking structure is a curious decision, but it seems to work, also thanks to its fitting colour scheme. No one knows what the atoms are, but we'll go with Footonium.
