Overview
Open Wide’ is Inhaler’s third studio album, marking a significant evolution in the band’s sound, blending their Rock roots with more of a Pop style to create a collection of anthemic tracks. The record is filled with slick-sounding tunres, each ripe for mass singalongs, but lacking the Indie Rock edge of their previous albums - it's still an enjoyable ride, though. Despite favouring a more Pop-driven sound, the album explores darker tones, deploying almost The Cure-inspired basslines, harmonious vocal styles, and reverb-soaked croons - a style that certainly suits the band. While some listeners may find the Pop-oriented direction an unwelcomed departure from Inhaler’s earlier sound, ‘Open Wide’ is a testament to their willingness to evolve and reflects a band that has truly come into its own.

Recommended for Pop Rock listeners looking for a great mix of tunes.

A beautiful-looking flower for a great-sounding album. It’s a nice cover, and the flower almost symbolises the band’s sound blossoming, just as it does on this record. The registered trademark symbol within the band’s name is a choice that doesn’t quite work, in my opinion. Am I listening to a band called Inhale on this album?
