This grand canvas explores themes of fame, excess, heartbreak, and self-reflection with lyrical depth that captures it all. The multitude of collaborations throughout enhances the album’s scope, with each guest lending a unique texture to West’s intricate vision. Instantly recognisable and iconic. Despite the distorted figures within the painted image, it is unmistakably West, fully embodying his personality. As one of eight paintings that could have been featured (some of which eventually appeared on the album’s singles), this, in my opinion, was the best choice - despite its (unjust) controversy.
