Overview
This is potentially King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s most lighthearted release, with a Country-tinged sound and a playful, almost spontaneous vibe. It has a ‘70s feel, blending American Country Rock with King Gizz’s signature style. Like pretty much all of the band’s previous releases, it offers room to explore a new genre, with constant jams and carefree rhythms, but while the album carries this relaxed energy, there’s an undercurrent of darker, reflective themes and societal collapse, adding depth to its playful exterior. The band seems to be at an all-time high with their chemistry here, and while the style of ‘Flight B741’ may not be what King Gizzard fans are used to, it’s another experimental take on the classic sound that fans will still love.
Recommended for the old school rockers looking for a bluesy trip down memory lane.

It’s absolutely ridiculous, but expected nothing less. Who knew pigs could fly? I guess they still can’t, but that would maybe be more impressive than this album cover. Weird and somewhat wonderful.
