Overview
‘L.W.’ is a continuation of King Gizzard’s exploration of microtonal music, serving as the second part to ‘K.G.’ The album builds on the foundations laid by its predecessor, delivering a rich blend of hypnotic grooves, intricate melodies, and the band’s signature experimental flair. From moments of heavy intensity to passages of meditative calm, ‘L.W.’ captures a dynamic range of emotions and textures. The seamless transitions between genres and styles highlight the band’s versatility and creativity, ensuring there’s never a dull moment. While it doesn’t quite live up to ‘K.G.’ for me, it’s still an immersive, multifaceted journey that once again reinforces how innovative this band truly is.
Recommended for King Gizz fans looking to complete the double.

It’s almost a carbon copy of its predecessor, and that’s fine - it still works. The clay-like lettering also adds to the psychedelic nature of the band.
