Overview
’Led Zeppelin IV’ (or simply their ‘untitled’ album) is a defining moment in Rock history. With blends of Hard Rock and Folk, the band has created a timeless masterpiece that set up future bands for years to come. The band’s musicianship is at its absolute peak here, with intricate and engaging guitar riffs, powerful rhythms, and dynamic arrangements that showcase the creative versatility of the group. The album is completely expansive, yet it has moments and passages of intimacy that feel incredibly reflective. I can’t think of too many albums that are as impressive and influential as this, and ‘IV’ solidified Led Zeppelin as one of the greatest rock bands of all time, pushing the boundaries of what rock music could be and leaving a historic legacy.
Recommended for practically everyone in existence and particularly anyone looking to create music.

There’s little meaning behind the cover of Led Zeppelin’s fourth album, but it has become iconic over time. The piece of artwork was discovered and purchased by Robert Plant in an antique shop in Berkshire, England. I like the fact that they used a piece of work that was self-discovered and little-known—it’s personal and utilised perfectly.
