Overview
This album marks a bold evolution in the duo’s sound - they push the boundaries of electronic music with a raw, almost Indie Rock approach. It’s experimental and sure to impress first-time listeners. Known for their ability to blur the lines between genres, Mount Kimbie dives deeper into a darker landscape here, one filled with textures that create tension and unpredictability. Its reverberated, distorted tones manage to create a vibe that is both intense and immersive, resulting in a listening experience that demands attention - even though it feels like Mount Kimbie made this one for themselves, they’re letting whoever wants to listen join the ride.
Recommended for Indie kids looking for sonic soundscapes to broaden their mind.

Album Artwork Rating

The style and colour scheme of this album cover are perfect - this is what I expect from album artwork: subtle creativity that somehow forms a framework photo that ultimately becomes art. Its styling suits the vibe of Mount Kimbie nicely, and it's an eye-catching cover. I imagine the band were in the car during the shoot.
