Overview
Peggy Gou’s album ‘I Hear You’ represents a significant step in her evolution from her Deep House roots. This record showcases a more distinctive blend of House and Techno, creating a broader and more popular sound. Despite catering to more mainstream ears, it strikes a nice balance with the Deep Techno influences that have shaped her musical journey. Although she has released plenty of music prior to this, it doesn’t feel like a debut release, but it is definitely a debut album to be proud of. She has achieved a balance of both accessible and sophisticated tracks, resulting in an album that rewards repeated listens.
Recommended for Techno and Pop music heads looking to join in harmony.

At first glance at this album cover, I wasn’t convinced, but it showcases Peggy Gou’s unique and alternative style, which perhaps couldn’t have been represented on this particular album in any other way. I still find it uncomfortable to see so many ears on one person… memorable nonetheless.
