Overview
"Era Vulgaris" is an album that explores darker themes and sonic textures, yet dives deeper into the band’s signature sound. It’s a raw and relentless journey, combining heavy riffs with Queens’ classic infectious grooves that pull you into a world of grit and intensity. There’s a completely eclectic blend of styles here, and each track has its own unique pull for listeners - there’s experimentation, but not so much that we lose sight of the hard-hitting style the band is known for. This record is a bold statement that really showcases Queens of the Stone Age at the top of their creative game. It’s dark, weird, beautiful, and sexy all at the same time.
Recommended for the dessert Stoner Rockers looking for an experimental take on a classic heavy sound.

I like the creativity here. They’ve created characters to promote the album, which they then feature on the front cover. These friendly-looking broken lightbulbs are supposedly meant to symbolise a great idea that, in reality, is actually not as great as you might have thought. It obviously has no real relevance, but it’s fun, and the coaster format is a cool implementation.
