Overview
Like most of Slowdive’s work, ‘everything is alive’ is a deeply atmospheric and emotionally resonant album. Slowdive knows how to stay true to their Shoegaze roots while continuing to evolve with each record. Expect expansive soundscapes with lush layers of reverb-drenched guitars and plenty of ambient textures. This album offers an almost meditative listening experience, with each track as cohesive as the one before it. It feels timeless yet has the ability to evoke both nostalgia and a sense of forward-looking exploration. Slowdive are true pioneers of the Shoegaze genre, and ‘everything is alive’ reaffirms this.
Recommended for Shoegaze lovers looking for another fix of Slowdive genius.

It's a nice cover with a complementary colour palette. I’m not exactly sure if there is a deeper meaning within this piece of artwork, but a labyrinth leading to a ghostly figure is cool enough in my book. It seems to be based on the Labyrinth of the Reims Cathedral, but the spectral twist they've applied here is a great addition.
