Overview
This is an absolute landmark album that defies conventional Metal norms with fierce energy and politically charged lyrics. It was a genius idea to add a touch of Eastern European Folk influence to Heavy Metal riffs, resulting in a distinct sound that is both aggressive and intricate. The album’s intensity is balanced yet still unpredictably shifts in tempo and style, keeping listeners engaged with SOAD’s versatility. Serj is at the top of his game here, delivering dynamic, amplified vocals with raw emotion, urging listeners to think and question authority and societal issues. ‘Toxicity’ is a powerful, bold experience that cements SOAD’s place in Modern Metal.
Recommended for listeners looking for a loud, heavy and politically charged experience.

It's rough, it's got a mean, dirty colour scheme, and it's personal to the band - a great album cover. With the band being from LA, it was a nice touch to replace the Hollywood sign with their own name; and with the album's themes of rebellion, confrontation, and corruption surrounding American culture, this is almost a perfect piece of album artwork.
