Overview
It was always going to be difficult to follow up from Back In Black, but the band certainly produced a powerful effort to be proud of. The tone of the album is one that builds off of the newly-refined Hard Rock sound that AC/DC have pretty much coined at this point - it provides an anthemic energy that sounds massive, and with a heavier and smoother production, its a record that compliments the band perfectly. Despite not being as strong as it predecessor, this is an absolutely solid album that contains anthems to be remembered for generations.
Recommended for stadium rocker lovers who want to feel the power of big Rock tunes.

After the success of Back In Black, I feel like this was partly to do with the decision to keep a similar trend of cover with For Those About To Rock (We Salute You). It is certainly iconic, but I don’t feel like it is impressive in any real sense. It just doesn’t have the same connotations as the previous albums’ cover, so it’s minimalistic style is less impressive in my opinion. The cannon is cool and suits the lead song of the album, so it does work.
