Overview
John Frusciante’s first album after his recovery from addiction is notably more listenable than its predecessors and features a selection of songs that create a spacious soundscape, supposedly representing the connection to the spiritual plane he experienced during his recovery. I, myself, have never been to the spiritual plane Frusciante speaks of, so I can’t comment on how accurate this representation is, but somehow, this album evokes a sense of spiritual awakening that makes you feel as if you were there with him. This is an entirely unique album, and the Experimental Rock Frusciante has crafted here will have you transcending, dancing, and pondering throughout. Although not for everyone’s taste, this is a journey through the tranquil planes of his spiritual awakening - one that all should at least experience for themselves.
Recommended for the Alternative Rock lovers looking for a unique experience and spiritual awakening.

I like the simplicity of this artwork. The colour scheme works well together and the blue suits the water theme of the album title.
