Overview
The first song really sets you up for the weirdness you’re about to experience. If you’re tuning in to find songs reminiscent of MGMT’s early days, you won’t find them here - but that’s not a bad thing. I was pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of the album and the group's change in mood and direction. Each song leaves you intrigued by its change, and many tracks use notes that you wouldn’t expect to be combined, but it seemingly works within the context of the song. The only genre I could imagine this being is Japanese 80s Dark Ghost Synth Pop… I don’t know what it means either, but I think it sums up this album nicely.

Recommended for TikTok kids looking to broaden their horizons with 80s styled dark Synth Pop.

The yellow colour of the album is great (obviously), and the styling works perfectly. The font used for the album artist and title is very unique and suits the darker mood of the album nicely. Listening to this moody album, you almost feel like you are the ghost-like figure in the cool pointillism artwork - great choice.
